  2. Adams and Jefferson? They were on the outs for a few years but they were primarily friends till their deaths on the same day. You're thinking of Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr (who did the world a favor, imho). Trust me, John and Thomas would not want to be confused with Alexander.
